Privacy — draft
Privacy notice (draft)
This is a working draft. It has not yet been reviewed or approved by a legal adviser and may change before CoMavera launches. It does not claim compliance with any law.
Draft guidance. This page is a placeholder while CoMavera's policies are prepared and reviewed. It is not final policy and is not legal advice.
What we collect
- Register Interest: your name, email address, the roles you selected, whether you opted in to marketing emails, and when you confirmed this notice and (if applicable) gave marketing consent.
- Idea feedback: the text you write, which sample idea it relates to, and when it was sent. To limit spam we also store a one-way scrambled code derived from your internet address; it is never shown publicly and is not used to identify you.
- Team accounts: email and password for CoMavera team members who review feedback.
Contact, Log In and Sign Up on this preview do not send or store anything.
Why we collect it
- Name and email — to record your interest and contact you about joining when CoMavera opens.
- Selected roles — to understand demand and plan features.
- Feedback — to help improve ideas and, if approved, show it publicly on that idea.
- Scrambled address code — only to stop repeated automated submissions.
Marketing consent
Marketing emails are sent only if you tick the optional box, which is separate from registering. You can withdraw consent at any time by contacting us (address to be published). No marketing emails are being sent yet.
How feedback is moderated
All feedback starts as pending and is not visible to the public. A CoMavera administrator reviews it and may approve, reject or hold it for further review. Only approved feedback is shown, on the idea it was written about, without your name or any identifier.
Who can see private submissions
Website visitors cannot read sign-ups or unapproved feedback. Pending and rejected feedback can be read only by signed-in accounts that have been granted administrator access. Sign-ups are currently viewable only by the project owner through the hosting provider's administration tools. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Proposed: Register Interest data until launch plus 12 months; rejected feedback up to 6 months; approved feedback while the idea is shown; the spam-prevention code up to 6 months. All periods are still to be confirmed.
Your rights and requests
You may be able to ask to access, correct or delete your data, withdraw marketing consent, or object to its use, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. A privacy contact address for these requests will be published before CoMavera is promoted publicly.
Still to be supplied by the project owner
- Data controller's legal name and postal address
- Privacy contact email
- Legal basis for each purpose
- Confirmed retention periods
- Names and locations of service providers hosting the data
- Professional legal review of this notice
